The MacUser Awards recognise the best products released each year for Apple users. Covering a range of categories right across the market, they reflect the breadth of the industry, from the biggest names to the smallest startups – only the quality of the product counts.
Nominees for the Awards are selected by MacUser's regular expert contributors. Some will be familiar products already rated highly in the magazine. Others may have gained a following within a particular discipline or community. They may be new updates to old favourites, innovative rivals to the established leaders, or smart solutions in new fields.

The results are decided by MacUser's readers – in print, digital editions and online – who vote in their thousands every year. The final reader voting will take place between 8 July and 8 September.
